The HSM solution for NetWare is AvailHSM (formerly NetSpace) from
Wang Software (also available via your IBM rep.). There is a redbook
now available that describes the product and how it works with ADSM:
 "HSM for NetWare: ADSM and AvailHSM Implementation, SG24-4713-00"

Basically we found the product quite stable, reliable, and transparent.
The 3.5 release has some nice additions such as maintaining original
file attributes for migrated files, so a DOS dir or Filemanger shows
the real filename and size rather that of the migrated placeholder.
It also removes the previous requirement for a local scsi attached tape
drive for backup.
Care does need to be taken when it comes to scheduling backup around
the same time as migration sweeps. However, with a bit of planning
it will all work together.
