Greetings,

we are using ADSM V2 Clients on AIX and HP Workstations (and Novell and NT and
OS/2..) and we have a small security problem with our UN*X GUI clients:

When backing up, I can only back up 'my' files, but when restoring, I can
restore *ANY* file ever backed up for this node (for examples, files with
owner:root, umask 700 ) with renaming and choosing a different location for this
file. (It does not work with 'original location') . It seems to me that ADSM
does not check the ownership of the 'saved' file.

We have seen this with the HP-UX V2 clients and IBM AIX V2 clients (both levels
prior to 2.1.0.3).

Has anyone else this situation, or did I miss a parameter?
