Might be a firewall issue of somekind. You might
try pinging your address from the inside(ie. telnet
to a machine inside your environment) and then
try to ping your VPN connection from the internal
network.

to start the gui (Netview) via VPN? If so, how did you get around it?
I can't seem to do it from home. I've just acquired cable modem.
