I may have a solution, but I need more detail about the problem.
 
When you want to monitor 'specific IP addresses', do you mean only a set of
ports on a switch, or only a set of IP addresses that flow through any
number of ports on a switch?
 
What sort of monitoring do you want to accomplish?

Netview 7.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3. 

I would like to monitor specific IP addresses on high-impact [switch] ports
as opposed to just the loopback addresses. How much of this can I do with
Netview? Would I need something like Tivoli Switch Analyzer to do detail
