To find out about configuring unsolicited traps in Netview, you can read
the section
in the Admin Guide and check out the addtrap and mib2trap commands. Often
vendors
provide this customization with their applications that run on Netview, as
well. Loading
MIBS will only help fill in some of the numbers in the variables, helping
you guess what it
is about. Finding a MIB that defines traps will get you a little further.
Vendors also may
provide a script on their web sites to help you run addtrap. Cisco does, at
http://www.cisco.com/public/mibs/contrib/trapd.41x

Hi All:

I am working with Netview V.5.1 in an AIX environment.  I have received
sometimes a message like this :
NO FMT IN TRAPD.CONF: mgmt.mib-2.41.1.3 (1.3.6.1.2.1.41.1.3) generic:6
specific:2
These messages are coming from  IBM and Cisco Routers.
Does anybody know what kind of trap is this ?
Which MIB file do I need to load  ?
