You can also look into capacity licensing too.  This way, you ignore all the 
client agents and App & DB packs and tiers, etc...

While capacity licensing is not cheap, the more you virtualize, the more you 
move into multi-socket boxes, the choice makes sense.  As an example a quad-CPU 
box and a Db virtualized..  Thats an enterprise server, and enterprise client 
and a App Db pack that is what all Tier 3.  big $$$$  Go capacity based, and 
it's just a fixed price per TB you are protecting.

You should see if they can convert your licenses, and add net new to it, to 
make it based on the data you are trying to protect (Front-end TB licensing).  
It could come out cheaper.
