Hi

You should not have NOM running on a Netbackup master server, it should
be installed on a standalone server. This sounds like a similar problem
we had when we upgraded from 5.1 to 6.0mp4. What version and maintenance
pack is your master server on? MP5 resolved our issue.

Thanks
Andrew

Subject: [Veritas-bu] nom - nbsl, nbproxy

Hello,

I have a problem about nom. I had nom installed. When nom services run,
some extra nbproxy processes run on master server. I think that this is
normal. However, when i reboot nom server or close nom services, extra
nbproxy processes don't close on master. Then, after 2-3 reboot, count
of
nbproxy processes increases countinously. 6-7 hours later, nbsl service
on
master server could not run.

Sometimes, ( when i restart netbackup ) nbsl service disappear. I have
to
restart netbackup on master server.

I am newbie on netbackup. I think that one or some of the gurus in the
list may have some opinions about it.

Best regards,

Ayhan
