How are you doing the backup? Via a dedicated network or SAN? And what is
the bandwidth of the medium you're using? For e.g., we have a dedicated
gigabit LAN setup for our NetBackup environment and can pull data as fast as
100 MB/s (yes its megabyte). You just need to play with the buffer settings
a bit. NetBackup admin guides cover it.
