Ok well no scratchpool is configured, but I see tapes in the NetBackup queue
as per your image.

Can you run a Media List Report on all media servers and all media - sort
them by the "Status" column.

If they are full tapes, they will say FULL MXP

Also, what Policy are you using? If you double click the Policy, it should
give you the option to see the Policy Storage Unit and Policy Volume Pool.

Also, as a rule the Policy unit should be your master server (your netbackup
server). Make sure its listed, rather than saying "any available"

As a rule, what I would do is:

1) configure a Scratch Pool (VM.conf file - check the document I sent over)
2) For your backup policies, it would be an idea to configure a Volume Pool.
For example you have a Policy called Activedirectory - create a volume pool
called AD_BACKUPS and ensure the Policy is changed to reflect this.

Before doing this, need to work out where the problem lies.

Are there any tapes in your SCRATCH POOL ?
It sounds like NetBackup is searching for tapes or free tapes it can use for
Backups!

In fact, has a scratchpool been defined? What volume pool is your Backup
Policy using?
