All:
Our environment is HP-UX 11.11, Netbackup 5.1 MP3 backing up mostly HP
unix with some Sun and Windows backups. My problem is that on occasion
when doing a restore using the gui. If you get your dates all set and
then go up and change the Source or Destination client entry it also
changes the date range. It basically opens the date range up and if you
don't catch it and start the restore it eventually fills up the
NetBackup database filesystem. I caught it this time and got things
stopped but the db filesystem is up to 99%. I'm not exactly sure what
NetBackup does when this happens, if it adds files that it uses for the
restore can I just remove these files and how do I identify them? I
have tried to kick off a catalog backup which has taken care of this
problem in the past. The problem with the backup is that I am currently
backing up to disk and my filesystem I am backing up to is a little
short of space so the backup doesn't complete successfully. Obviously
I'm in a bind here as I can't do much until my catalog gets back down to
a manageable size so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
