Probably the best method is to build the new machine, same config as the old
and ensure you use the same host name where possible (this makes life
easier, although there is a way to recover the catalog to another machine if
needed).
 
Once built, install Netbackup to the same MP levels as before.
Ensure you can see your tape library / robot
use BPRECOVER to recover the catalog.
 
I think this may be covered in the sysadmin guides.
