Can I ask what this command does? Its just that I have a small NBU 3.4
environment with a problem with the tape drives going to AVR status rather
than TLD.
I can power off the robot / back on and that sorts it, but does this command
re-establish communication or something to bring the drives back into
status?

You could run "vmoprcmd -d ds" within a cron-driven script.
It's what most of us do, I think.

On Solaris systems, is there a way to monitor a log file, other than
messages, for AVR status or no communication to the robot? I've looked
through all the logs i thought might have this info and didn't come up with
anything.
