Thanks Neil. I knew this but just was having a busy day and was getting
frustrated because I could not find where to look.

The policy type tells you. If the policy type is Windows NT, then that
policy backs up regular files. If the policy type is Microsoft
Exchange....

=20

So for a given Exchange server, you're going to need at least two
policies to cover it. Be sure and exclude the Exchange database file
extensions in the host properties of your Exchange servers because
regular file system backups of these files are not supported (by
Exchange). (We actually exclude the exchsrvr folders).

How can I tell if a backup is using or not using an exchange agent? I
know this is a dumb question but I just cannot seem to find how I know a
policy is using the agent v4rsus just backing up the server and not
using the agent.
