Also make sure Verbose is on high. VERBOSE=9 for Unix, VERBOSE=5 windows
Set in bp.conf on Unix. In Media-Server Properties "Logging" for windows.

Also you didn't say if this is a SAN or SSO environment.

In Solaris, you can type dmesg or check the logs as to why they went down,
did you create all of the debug directories and then check the logs?

Hi there, 

I'm currently having a bit of trouble when it comes to my LTO2 drives in a
Windows 2003 based NetBackup 5.0 installation.

1. The drive appears to get downed in regular intervals by the media manager
without a reason... bptm log says nothing about that... 

2. The performance of the drives is a mess... about 10Mb/s... any proven
parameters for the SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS and NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS files?
