You shouldn't need to "expire" the primary.

Copy 1 is usually already your primary....Copy 2 is usually the offsite
you'd have to promote.

All you need to do is "promote" copy 2 to primary.

Look up the "bpchangeprimary" command in the Netbackup "Commands for
Unix" manual, or read the man page.

#bpchangeprimary -copy 2

...should do it.

>From the GUI, click on catalog. 
Set the start date back to before you want to restore from.
Leave the end date current.
Leave all the boxes set to the "all" option.
Set "copies" to "copy 2".

Run the report and select everything that shows up....then right click
and select "set primary copy".
