That's what I hear, 5.1 MP2 will be the last release before 6.0. 6.0 =
apparently has a complete re-write of the scheduler (bpsched binary). =
It's about time, but that has me concerned. They've had many problems =
with that binary over the years, I probably won't think about installing =
6.0 until MP2 or a later release is available.

Wayne is exactly right. It is best to wait. Why be a test bed for =
VERITAS??
In VERITAS defense...
It is impossible to create a lab environment to fully test all functionalit=

and interaction that exist in the real world. I think they could do =
better,
but at least the MP's come out fairly reasonably.
Save yourself stress and stay behind the bleeding line of technology.

Now I like the bells and whistles as much as the next guy, but in my =
limited
experience with Veritas, you're much better off going with an "aged" =
release
rather than a new one. Versions 5.0 and 5.1 both had serious problems at
initial release. A quick patch made 5.1 usable, and a few MPs apparently
made 5.0 usable. Will v6.0 change this? I doubt it.=20
Unless you need some function of v6.0, why not go with a more time-tested
release ... unless, of course, you don't have maintenance ... then maybe
you'd want to wait (3 or 4 months?) for a purchase?
Just a few thoughts ...
cheers, wayne
