When you manually start the catalog backup , any other backup can be run. If
the scheduler starts the catalog then no backups or restores will be active
until th end of the catalog backup

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Catalog Backup Question
Our catalog backup kicks off after completion of the scheduled backups.
Under 4.5, when a backup is manually initiated during the automatic catalog
backup, will it queue up in Activity Monitor, or will it not show up (like
in 3.4)?
I tried to test this to see what would happen by manually starting the
catalog backup and then kicking off a manual backup. The catalog kicked off
fine, but the manual backup actually started writing. I expected the backup
job to be either queued or be running, but just kinda sitting there until
the catalog backup completed.
Can anyone clear up these two questions for me?
