Hi,
=20
Usually backup images will occupy most of the space. There are 3 options =
to reduce size.=20
=20
1) using bpimage -compress -allclients - this will compress images, so =
size would be reduced. On next restores (or browse) files will expand =
again.
2) catalogue backup and catalogue remove - For restores, recover the =
catalog (bpcatlist will show the image is online or offline)
3) For images that no longer required, you may clean them using =
bpexpdate command (You will not be get the images back apart from =
reimport)
bpexpdate -m <mediaid> -d 0 will clear all images on the media or=20
bpexpdate -backupid <backupid> -d 0 - to clear based on backupid.=20
=20
Keeping reasonable period for retension and having sufficient space for =
db will ease this maintenance.

Regards, Mani
