Hi.
I am using Veritas NetBackup 4.5 with 4 drives on Windows 2000. There is a
big problem for me about stuck tape. Sometimes the client server enters to
deadlock and backup process ends physically but seems to be continuing on
backup server. After this, I cancel this job and try to reset the tape
drive. But it is unsuccessful. After with robtest utility, I try to unload
but it gives this error:
"Could not get tape parameters for \\.\Tape1: The requested resource is in
use."
So I have to restart the robot which means that server loses connections
with tape drivers. So I have to restart the server also which is undesirable
all the time...
Any suggestion to unload the tape? (By the way, I can manually eject the
tape. So the robot sees no problem with that drive, and try to use it but
again the cartridge stuck in it...)
Thanks.
