We had this same issue when we first starting using NBU 4.5

We found a problem with the way the drives were being shared. The NT
media servers saw the drives differently than the SUN master saw them.
What we ended up doing is, we shared the drives by using the serial
number of the drives. This seems to have helped.

I have similar problems with my STK L40. It happens both with jobs that
stop running (like duplications that someone does a process kill on) and
if the drive goes down due to a tape error. I have to physically go in
and remove the tape from the drive. Resetting via Netbackup does not
work. Trying to move it via robtest fails as well.
