Hi
How to restore in minutes
Assumptions
- enough spare to do new instal/upgrade space on different filesystems
- your existing app is on filesystem/s of its own.
If the previous condition exist but not this you could always create
filesystem/s and copy the
apps prior to the upgrade/new install.
Method:
Create new filesystems for the app
If upgrading copy the old onto the new.
Unmount the old
Do your upgrade/installation work on the new
Lets assume the worst - you have messed up
Unmount the new filesystem
Mount the old file filesystem and you are in business again

Subject: [Veritas-bu] One Command - Lists All ???
In preparation for a worst case (backup for the backup) scenario prior to a
3.4 to 4.5 cut over, I'm looking a command(s) that would list all
configuration information about classes, clients, media servers etc. in
case of a complete rebuild from scratch is needed.
All suggestions are welcome?
Thank you,
Scott Jacobson
