Dear list,

regarding windows 2000 SP2/3
Recently we had many "stunt-upgrades" in our SAN, HP Software updates,
Firmware upgrades, driver updates, NBU Pack upgrades, and SP2->SP3 upgrade
on a windows 2000 MSCS cluster.
After the upgrades we found that the backup of the filecluster (Media
servers) had problems with hanging bpbkar32 processes (one for each retry
and started job), after a weekend we had 150 bpbkar processes running. None
of these processes can be killed with task manager or any other utility.
After a week or so, in pure agony, (un-doings + tests) we found that after
uninstalling the MS Blast virus fix everything ran fine again. It was all
HP/Compaq equipment.

If anyone else have had the same or similar problems, I'd be glad to confirm
my issue here.

regards,
bengt
