Hi all,

I am planning for patching our NetBackup servers, clients and Oracle clients
to NB_34_3.  We have various levels of Oracle 8.x with RMAN, and 7.3.4 with
EBU (all on Solaris).  I will have to stop and restart the v8 databases and
perform various steps to relink RMAN to NetBackup (depending on the
version).

The patch instructions do not mention 7.3.4 or EBU but based on what I can
find in the manuals I don't think I should need to stop/start the 7.3.4
databases as the link to NetBackup is "accomplished by including the
NetBackup API library on the library search path".

Can anyone confirm or deny this?  The fewer databases for which I have to
arrange outage the better...
