We had an issue last night in our Oracle backups on a TRU64 Client. The
Activity Log shows the Full and all Default Policies completed successfully
with no issues. This morning, our DBA's sent the following excerpt from the
RMAN logs:
"RMAN-08522: input datafile fno=00040 name=/ts4/oradata/lxop/docbuild_t1.dbf
RMAN-08013: channel t1: piece 1 created
RMAN-08503: piece handle=bk_9572_1_463212935 comment=API Version 2.0,MMS
Version 3.2.0.0
RMAN-08525: backup set complete, elapsed time: 00:19:37
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure during compilation of command
RMAN-03013: command type: partial resync
RMAN-06004: ORACLE error from recovery catalog database: ORA-03113: end-of-file
on communication channel
RMAN-06097: text of failing SQL statement: begin dbms_rcvman . resetAll ;
:success := dbms_rcvman . SUCCESS ; :av
RMAN-06099: error occurred in source file: krmk.pc, line: 9335
Recovery Manager complete.

exit 1"
Has anyone seen a problem like this or can you shed any light on the RMAN
errors and the apparent discrepancy in the reporting?
TIA,
