Hello,
=20
We just got a new tape library with 1-LTO Ultrium drive (Seagate -Viper
2000) for now. Upon installing it, no special drivers required for the
LTO drive just modify the st.conf entry. For barcode labels, we have to
order different labels and numbering scheme so we can differentiate
between DLT and LTO. We are using Netbackup Datacenter 3.4 with patch
NB_34_2.solaris 240978 and Solaris 7
=20
Hope this helps.
=20
Sun st.conf entry for Seagate LTO drive:<?xml:namespace prefix =3D o ns =

"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

tape-config-list=3D

"SEAGATE ULTRIUM06242-XXX","Seagate LTO","SEAGATE_LTO";

Subject: [Veritas-bu] L700 with DLT7000 and LTO drives

Hello Group,=20

We are going to add couple of Seagate LTO Ultrium drives to an existing
L700 with DLT7000 drives.=20
Could some one point me to some useful information about following:=20

1. Is there any special drivers required for the LTO drives=20
2. Any modifications required in the st.conf=20
3. Any special schemes for Barcode labels and numbering=20
4. Netbackup configuration for LTO drives on an existing L700 with
DLT7000 drives, where drives are in the same L700 library but will be
connected to different servers through differential SCSI.

5. Any other important step that I am missing from the above list=20

I am using Netbackup Datacenter 3.4 (with patch NB_34_1 and NB_34_P0858
) on Solaris 2.6=20

Thanks in advance and I will summarize.=20
