Brayn,
The fragment size was set at 2GB<2048>. Is the multiplexing option in the
dup_param script cause to cache the entire image? The backup was not a
multiplexing backup image and I set the dup_param to keep multiplexing.
Thanks

it may be trying to cache the entire tar image first. With fragments, vault
will duplicate the image one fragment at a time. Bryan

The media erver did the backup, and the duplication was on the media server
using its own two LTO tape drives. I used the follow setting in the dup_param.
vault_type normal
<media server> 1 ALTREADHOST <media server>
dstunit media server 1
Thanks
Tommy

do you only have 1 tape drive ?
if so, sounds like it would copy the tape with data to disk, then dump
that data to the tape that is to become the duplicate.
