[Veritas-bu] email notifications on backups

Jeff,
Are you using a Windows NT or 2000 server? If so, you will need to
download an smtp utility, Veritas recommends blat, as this is not native to
Windows. Try checking http://gepasi.dbs.aber.ac.uk/softw/Blat.html to get
the latest updates (this is the only link I have for it).
If you dig deep enough into the mailing scripts/files on NetBackup
it use to tell you what to do, if I recall correctly.

i have set veritas nbu 3.4.1 to notify me via e-mail, but it doesn't seem to
work. i set the email addy in the configuration screen for the master server
under global configuration and under universal options. i also checked the
box 'server sends mail'. has anyone seen this before? did i do it wrong?
