 Ladies and Gentlemen, greetings.

 I have an HP/9000 running HP-UX 11.0. It's got an A4855A (I believe) jukebox 
attached, which is the robotic drive I use with NetBackup (GDM/ NB 3.4).

 Whenever a tape is present in one of the drives, the device monitor shows 
'DOWN' as the Control. Is something misconfigured?
