Just a comment with respect to duplicate volume labels:
  - NW will never allow to initially use the same volume name when labeling a 
tape
  - NW however supported importd/scanned media with the same label (for 
example, when it came from a different data zone)
  - Since NW 7.0 NW will allow that any more but it still supports existing 
volume label duplicates (when you updated scu scenario from NW 6 to 7)

Why is this possible? - because NW also uses the volid which for sure is 
different.

Weird? - i think so.
