We had some problems like this when we were trying to use a fiber connected 10 
GB network interface between our server and the network switch.  We never did 
figure it out so we're back to the 100 MB network interface for now and have no 
problems with savegroups hanging..  I'm not sure the problem was with NetWorker 
though.  More likely in the interface drivers.

I posted a while back about having problems with savegroups hanging after 
upgrading to 7.6.3.3 from 7.5.3. Somebody posted to upgrade to 7.6.3.7 which I 
did and the problem is still occuring. The savegroups are random and I have a 
case open with EMC but was wondering if anybody else is having this issue using 
7.6.3.*. If anybody has some suggestions on things to try or help fix the 
problem would be great.  We are using NetWorker on Windows platform.
