I can't say I'm aware of any version of NetWorker that

It would be very nice if this could cicle automatically without
needing to take the networker service down.
Our networker writes about 10mb a day to the daemon.raw log. So we
need to restart the networker service preferrably once a week.
But I'm sure there are systems out there with even more size growth
of daemon.raw.
Realistically you shouldn't be too worried about a bit of log growth
in your NetWorker logs directory.
I'd go out on a limb and suggest that if there's less than 10GB of
free space there's serious problems in even a small environment, for
the /nsr region.
I agree it would be a "nice to have" though if the closing off of the
logs were done automatically.
In my blog article below I cover off changing some of the default
settings for the logs - not explicitly covered in example, but easily
intuitable from the examples given, is the option to reduce the number
of instances of the logs that are kept for historical purposes.
("maximum versions").

This may be of help in at least keeping the directory less cluttered,
but be careful to keep the log files long enough to have them make it
into long term backups.

Preston.
