Re: [Networker] NDMP Recover Error

Hello,
I believe he is using over the network for NDMP backups, no local tape
drives should be visible on celerra.Drives attached to the backup server
will allow NDMP and non ndmp backups.
One question on restore for him is please describe how do you do restores
from start to finish, were your backups successful for the same data
folders you are restoring, do you see and mark them in the networker
recover program ?
Thanks

Understandable. I've been doing it a year and a half and still feel lost
often to be honest. From the looks of the above, you have no NDMP drives
setup on the celerra/San zone, only disks for storage. Are you using a
vtl, or physical tape library, and is it zoned in properly on the san
with the celerra? (Assuming it is Fiber-attached). Second, do you know
if the celerra is a gateway (NSG) or integrated (NSFC) version? Lastly,
what does your NDMP drive name setup in Networker gui look like? It
should have drives named something like: rd=host:c32tl0l1 , where your
"normal" tape library for non-ndmp backups will have names like
..\.\Tape0 instead.
