Don't think there's a way to redirect indices to a separate pool from the
savesets, but I could be wrong.
You need to create a media pool (let's call it Indexes) and allow it to
contain just the index and bootstrap "Save Sets:" on the "Selection
Criteria" tab of the media pool properties window in NMC. Then allow
all the save groups that you want to save their indexes/bootstraps to
this media pool in the Data Source section of the "Basic" tab.
Works like a charm here, been doing it for almost two years now. It is
kind of putting all your eggs in one basket, so we clone
