is there any possibility to start a group periodically

My soulution until now is to disable and enable the group with
a script invoked by cron with nwadmin.

No there is no way to do this. The NetWorker scheduler is not meant to be particularly clever, it is best at running a group once every 24 hours, it does not excel at anything else.

If you are going to run a cron job, surely it would be more straightforward to use the cron job to run the group, rather than having a complex system where you have two different cron jobs to enable and disable the group. I believe in KISS.

TIP: it is often useful to start a job using nsradmin rather than running the savegrp command - this way you have the option of stopping the group from the NMC.
