I'm wondering .. if I have a SDLT-320 tape, can I load it into a SDLT-600
library, and run say "scanner -m" or "scanner -i" on it? It shiould work,
I think , since I am not writing to the tape. This would make my restores
go faster, since I could be running multiple scanner commands at once,
then. (I've found out you don't really need to run them sequentially; as
long as you "scanner -m or -i" on the entire set, you can do them
simultaneuosly, and ignore the "Load tape 1234" message, if you've already
scannered tape 1234, or are scanning tape 1234)
Thanks
