Check that what you think is one week really is one week:

Bring up the client's configuration.  Make a note what's in 'browse policy'
and 'retention policy.'

Then bring up Customize->Policies (on the old nsradmin anyway), and bring up
the entry that the client is using.  If it's really a week, it should have
'period' set to days and 'number of periods' set to 5 or 7.

Example:  I have a retention policy that says '2 weeks' but officially is
set to '10 days' since I want the offsite tapes to truly be reusable when
they get here (and worst case we can hold the incoming tape for SS
Recovery).

If you're running on 7.3.x and above, you'll also need to check the
retention policy that's set on the pool your adv_file device is associated
with.
