Barcodes come from offsite tape vendor. They're a storage company, so they 
store more than just tapes; they'll do documents, etc. 

Of that 10 digits, the first 6 are our customer number, I believe. So they 
actually use just the last 4 digits to identify a specific tape, for 
example. But the barcode reader in the libraries won't handle more than 8 
digits, so that's all just a moot point.
