No, the two are not related.

The pool attributes that matter when choosing which pool will receive a
backup are:

type:
archive only:
status:
group:
client:
save sets:
levels:

Label template is not used for pool choice.  It is used only when
labeling blank media into a pool, and no explicit label is passed in.
