Allow me to chime in with my rebuttal. :-) I have 2 sites - one has a 8 
tape autochanger, one has a single tape drive (it's a small site). Neither 
has a bar code reader, so I use the label templates there. For my 2 other 
sites, they have barcode readers, so I don't use the label templates 
there. (of course, at those sites, the barcodes I now get from my offsite 
tape storage vendor have too many digits (12) than can be read by the 
barcode readers in those tape libraries (8), so I have to manually label 
those tapes anyway ....)
