Hello,
Media.log file is in nsr\log directory for windows, have you tried 
configuring regular notification alert for such an event ?
Although sometimes usefull, i find this alert may be overkill as any time 
server is even requesting a tape, for example, before starting a 
restore\backup etc it will always say waiting for an tape, but once the 
tape is mounted the alert goes away, instead perhaps you should ensure 
adequate tapes are present in the lib for all networker operations.
