Make sure everything's backed up first, with your last backup before shutting
down the Sun services being to run a savegrp -O for an index/bootstrap backup,
then install NetWorker. From what I remember, the Sun install uses a different
base directory. If this is still the case, copy (tar & extract) ./index, ./mm
and ./res from the Sun install dir to the NetWorker install dir after NW is
installed. Alternatively, create a link to the original dir from /nsr, though
I'd personally prefer to keep them seperate for a couple of weeks until you're
sure everything's running properly.
Cheers,
Stuart.

Subject: [Networker] How to upgrade Sun StorEdge Enterprise Backup to EMC
NetWorker 7.4
Hello All,
I have a server running SUN StorEdge EBS v7.2 and I want to upgrade to
EMC's version. I would like to retain all metadata and configuration as
well as the media DB.
Does anyone know if this will be straight forward upgrade or will it be a
messy process with no option to rollback once I start?
Any advice is much appreciated -Thanks!!
