Hello List,

this is my configuration:
Several small and unconnected Networker Datazones. In every datazone is a NW 
Server with a single tape drive. Media "management" (insert and remove tape) 
will be done manually by persons on site with no NW specific knowledge.
Each NW site will  be issued with a number of tapes that are already labelled. 
Before the tapes can be used on site I use scanner to make the tape known to 
the NW media database. 

My question:
After scanning the tapes they are always in state "write protected". Is this 
normal or is my procedure flawed?
