Hmm. Is this a sometimes sort of thing? I have 2 clients on my test
server, and one of them has a client id in the nsr.res file..
nsradmin> show client id
nsradmin> print
client id: \
1216165f-00000004-401fc934-401fc933-00010000-c0a80169;
client id: \
1216165f-00000004-401fc934-401fc933-00010000-c0a80169;
client id: \
01f4112d-00000004-40508e8e-40508e8d-00040000-c0a80169;
$ grep "client id" nsr.res
client id:;
client id: 01f4112d-00000004-40508e8e-40508e8d-00040000-c0a80169;
I saw the one in the res file and assumed they were all there. I just
added another client, and it too went into nsr.res.
Create? y
created resource id 0.20.20.117.64.171.213.38.192.168.1.105(1)
nsradmin> q
$ grep "client id" nsr.res
client id:;
client id: 01f4112d-00000004-40508e8e-40508e8d-00040000-c0a80169;
client id: 1d20728e-00000004-40abd6c4-40abd6c3-00010000-c0a80169;
It is of course a read-only attribute. I'm not sure why I said it could
be modified. I suppose I was thinking of the fact that it can be set at
creation.
(This is Solaris 6.1.3)
