Hi All,
Weird restore problem going on here w/ NW 6.1.3 running on Solaris 8. I
normally do restores using ssid's so that I can get parallel restores going.
In the past I've done this:
recover -s nwsvr -S 1370830337 -S 1370919425 -S 1371983873 -S 1371984641
w/ very good results. Now, I've got a high visibility production restore and
I'm getting:
NSR server `nwsvr': busy
recover: waiting 30 seconds then retrying
I've waited as much as 30 minutes w/o anything happening.
I've not only rebooted NW, but also the server and nothing else was happening
on the server at the time. Same problem persisited.
In one instance, I pre-mounted a volume and a 'recover -s nwsvr -S 1370830337'
worked. Then I did a 'recover -s nwsvr -S 1370919425' (next ssid) that I
verified existed on the same volume and I got the timeout stuff again. Weird.
Other than disabling drives for the pool on a storage node (so that the SN
drives wouldn't be used), nothing that I'm aware of has changed on the box.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
/\/elson
