I am running Version 7 on Tru64 V5.1A for what it is worth.

1 small issue so far.
Several pending sessions have stayed open after the group that it was
running in finished. No problem, but it was anoying to see a "pending"
backup that was three days old. I couldn't find the process that would
allow me to kill this so I had to stop and restart Networker to clear them.
This used to happened in 6.1.1, but it was rare. It has already happened 3-4
times in the last 2 weeks on 7.0

I love the adv file device. It sets up two devices (one to write to and one
to read from that is mounted read only). They are the same phyisical device
but you may read from the read only version while writing to the standard
file device.

Meanwhile all the data on each of the versions is listed as "cloned".
Presumeably this is to keep the database straight while each (physical)
device can be read from or written to at the same time.

I thought this was a neat way to allow the file devices to be handled by a
"tape centric" application like networker.

I am happily useing the automatic stageing. It actually works!!! No more
homebrew scripts for me! The best part is I can now stage 24/7 to tape if I
need to without it interfering with the normal backups. They just go ahead
and backup while the stageing is going on. My jukebox is only 140GB, so I
start the staging, and when the jukebox is full, I go put more tapes in....
Again, and again and again...
