Hi,

I generally use other tape formats for long term archival. There is no
guarantee 10 years down the road that the company will be using Networker or
have a Networker server online. I prefer using dump/ufsdump, tar or cpio for
permanent archival.

The answer to your question is that you can change the browse and retention
time for an individual save set with nsrmm. It will not affect other save
sets.
