As a rule, using any st.conf file from Legato is a bad idea. For reasons
I can't explain nobody there seems to have any concept of what the purpose
of the st.conf file is, and how it integrates with solaris.

That file in particular is not only mostly pointless (as it includes
entries which are native in Solaris and thus don't need to be there), but
also wrong (many of the entries are either wrong, or not the recommended
values, including the entries for DLT8k).

Don't touch the st.conf! Solaris 9 includes native support for both DLT7000
DDS2 without any entries in the st.conf file. If you've played with st.conf,
I'd suggest just going through and commenting everything out, which is
how it's supposed to be.
