Hi gurus,
I have a problem with NetWorker directly recovering directories longer than
247 characters. I know that the limitation on the W2K system is 255, but
on the windows GUI I am capable of creating directories longer than 255
characters by hand.
On my tests I found that the maximum number of characters that I can use
with
mkdir command is 247.(I simply wrote the mkdir command until it gave an
error.)
So here are some points that I confuses me:
1-If the max character limit for a directory is 255 in W2K OS, how come I
can
only create 247 characters with mkdir (DOS)?
2-If Legato uses mkdir on the directed recovery to re-create them, how will
I be able to recover
directories between 247 and 255?(or even larger on NTFS)
3-Another shocking point is that NTbackup can do these processes without
  any problems...How is it possible?

Regards,

REP
