Make sure on the clients and server, you have the auto-negotation feature
turned off in their TCP/IP setup. Set the network parameters directly, do
not let the systems' network cards do autonegotiation because they often
do it incorrectly. Find out what the settings should be, then set them
properly by hand. This might improve your backup speeds. Also, if that
does not work, make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your
network cards.
