Hello

I have some trouble with backups involving W2k servers. These
servers were
NT4 a few months ago and the full backup of these computers
last about 4 to 6 hours for 60 Gb.
We upgrade these servers to W2k and now, for the same amount
of data the
backup takes about one day.

We made the followings tests:

The backup of one big file ( 700 Mb ) take the same time if
the file is on
a NT4 client or in a W2k client. For the same data amount, but
with a lot
of files ( about 40000 ) the backup for a NT client is three
times faster
than on a w2k server.

The network configuration of the clients is the same
( they are on the same segment and share wins and dns servers
).

Any Hints ?

My configuration

Networker server 6.0.1 ( build 174 ) on NT4 with a 9710 STK
library ( 6 DLT
7000 ). The clients' software is the same ( 6.0.1 )

thanks
